I am just starting to use calculated shipping, so I have a lot of questions.

I have set up WBN to send as soon as the item sells . . . will the shipping amount be correct for their zone? or should I turn off automatic WBN.

Is the buyer required to use Checkout for the calculated shipping to work? (Lately I have had a lot of people not using Checkout.)

OR . . .

Does their zip code automatically get merged with the Checkout Email or do they have to fill in their zip code to get the correct shipping amount.

Thanks for your help and experience.

I use the Vendio's calculator also (I assume that's what you are talking about)
I don't know for sure if it is automatic or not but they have to fill it out so that you have their full address either way. This is what some object to most.
I have added in my WBN that if they don't wish to fill out the check out - just use the calculator on the auction page and it will give them the shipping amount. They may then go to Paypal and add that amount plus insurance etc.
I have some customers that don't even wait to get the WBN - they calculate and paypal the amount due.
I think this is what you needed???
