Hi everyone ! I have a glass bead necklace and was wondering if it was ok to call this Murano glass with swirled gold flecks. It doesn't have any markings at all....or is there another kind of glass besides Murano that does the swirled gold fleck ? Heres a picture of the beads up close and the necklace . Any guesses on the age ? I was thinking 60's - 70's

I can't be sure because my jewelry books are out on loan, but they might have called this a dog color and if so it is late 60's. I doubt if they are murano glass though as they don't have that look. Murano glass is more transparent, I think. If it is a dog collar you wear it tight to the base of your neck. Let the side beads just drape onto your shoulders.

Maybe someone will have another suggestion. You get the neatest items.

yea I think its a dog collar-my wife made me wear one of these things back in the 70's.I had to get on all fours naked and she used to lead me around the house on a chain and made me bark like a dog

I can't see the photo again but from reading everything here - I think it would be a bib necklace also. They are always dog collar style with hanging beads or chains. Bib necklaces are more desirable also. JMO
Wish I could see the photo.

Thanks everyone , I have chandelier and bib wrote down as describing it and added dog collar to it.Now I just need to pick one lol. This is one of those things I've been holding on to cause I really don't know how to explain it. It would make it so much easier if it had a mark or name then I'd have a key word to put in title.

I would call it a Cleopatra necklace. If you have a bust from I would do the photograph on it not flat It would show better.

lol Classic I bet you would !
Thanks Stopwhining for saying for sure it's not Murano.
My bust was to small to handle this necklace bjboswell .It hangs 6 inches from gold tone neck part to the bottom of the glass beads so it hung off. I did take 2 shots on different color mannequins
