I have someone who wants my help in selling an item worth approx $10,000. It's the rear section of the rocket that blew off when Evel Knievel tried to jump the Snake River Canyon, Idaho in 1974. This is the only piece of the rocket that is missing and unaccounted for by the Knievel team
I hope this makes sense. Any thoughts on where to go with this.

I would put it under Collectibles, historical - something like that. With the right keywords in your description the right people will find it. So sometimes the category doesn't matter.
Obviously documentation or provenance of some sort is important. Otherwise it is just another piece of junk.

They have all the documentation, fotos etc to go with it. Do you think Sotheby's would be a better bet than ebay?

Only if they want to pay Sothebys ALOT more money than ebay!

I don't think Sotheby's deals in this type of item. Ebay would be your spot. That on-line casino seems like a likely buyer.
