Having trouble trying to get an auction launched at Yahoo. Won't show up if I list it through Vendio even though I get confirmation that it has been! How do I upload photos through Yahoo? In the 'browse' box for photos I copied & pasted the information from my Vendio hosting e.g. http://imagehost.vendio.com/preview/st/stonewallz/.thumbs/coin.jpg
but no photo shows up. What am I doing wrong?

I list on Yahoo directly from their website (starting a new auction). When you get to the description page, there will be a place to upload photos. Three photos can be uploaded for each ad. By listing directly on Yahoo, Vendio listing fees are avoided. On Yahoo you can resubmit an ad automatically up to five times. You wouldn't want to have to pay Vendio listing fees that many times.

I've tried to list through the Yahoo site but the photos don't show. They show if I launch through Vendio but then the auction doesn't go through! What I want to know is what do I type in the photo box when listing directly through Yahoo. My photos are hosted by Vendio.

I don't list on Yahoo but you can generate the HTML to include pics in your listings and insert in your auction description:
1. Find your image in Vendio "Image Hosting"
2. Put a check in the "attach" box
3. Indicate "other auction site"
4. copy and paste the HTML given by Vendio there

It will be something like this:
<p><center><img src="http://imagehost.vendio.com/bin/imageserver.x/00000000/YOURVENDIOUSERNAME/NAME OF YOUR IMAGE.jpg" ALT="Image Hosting by Vendio" ></center><br><br>
<br><center><img alt="Smart Services for Smart Sellers"
src="http://imagehost.vendio.com/img/header/logo/vendiologo88x31.gif" border=0><br> <br><a href="http://www.vendio.com/bin/ref.x/1803500154"><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="2" color="#3366cc"><b>Get simple, reliable, and affordable image hosting with Vendio today!</b></font></a><br>

To upload your photos that have been in an Ebay ad, you could open that ad and on the photo right click and then click properties. That will give you the photo's name. Then on the Yahoo description page, click on upload photos, and then on the next page click browse. Find your photos on your hard drive (if that is where they are) and select that photo. Then click on Add photo. Three photos can be added for each ad. Then click done when finished selecting the photos. It works well for me.

When you go to review your ad before submitting it are you supposed to be able to see the photos?

Yes, when reviewing the ad, the photos should be there. Are you clicking on Add Photo after you have chosen the photo from your hard drive? When you click Done and then go to the Yahoo description page, you should be able to see the .jpg of the photos at the top of the description page. These instructions are for listing directly from the Yahoo Auction website.

Sorry to be a pain in the backside over this but I can't understand how I can't upload. I'm uploading from work and my pics are on my hard drive at home. The only way I have of accessing them is through Vendio image hosting. When I click on the properties of the pic I want to use and copy and paste the url address into the box like this http://www.vendio.com/my/ihost/standard.html# and then click on add it won't show. I have to be doing something wrong. Should I put the name of the photo at the end of the url address? Will this do it?

ok, I think I have to put the actual name of the photo at the end of it. When I did this i get this message: ERROR: IMAGE TOO SMALL (width and height must be both > 32 pixels) What the ???? How come these images work fine for Ebay? I use an image cruncher when uploading to Vendio. Does this mean I have to un-crunch them for Yahoo? This is not worth the hassle!
