What is everyone's suggestion for finding "free" bubble wrap. I have tried furniture stores, but they say they give it out with their furniture. Any suggestions? I would rather not purchase it if I can find for free with a little extra work. Thanks in advance.

Funny thing happened. I was in back of Tuesday Morning store looking in the dumpster and this bum/tramp/wino sits up nearby and say, OH, there is more down the alley and he takes me to a full dumpster and even helps me unload. Course I tipped him and am sure he bot another bottle of 2 buck chuck.

Does anyone live in the san francisco area and need a bunch of packing peanuts! I have more than I can use. So many that I have some stored in the back of my pick up truck.

Are you anywhere near Mountain View or Redwood City, Paloma? I have kids in those two towns who could hang onto the styrofoam peanuts until they visit us next.

One word of advice: Don't try packing anything with those styrofoam peanuts when the ceiling fan is on high speed and the cat is in the same room. I found out the hard way.

Roadsmith, I am in the san mateo area. a few cities north of Redwood city. I hope they can store ALOT of peanuts for you. (grin) I have ALOT. Say, about 8 boxes worth and about 8 HUGE garbage bags worth
Sparkz, I can just picture you, packing peanuts and the fan. How funny.

Paloma: Cool! I'm going to e-mail our kids and see if they can pick up some of your peanuts. How large are the boxes? I believe they could get either several boxes OR several bags, and that would be what I'd have room here to store.
Two years ago some friends brought me 7 boxes of peanuts they'd accumulated from ordering soup mugs for a community event here in Idyllwild. I have one of those boxes left and have been worried about another source (the friends have left town).
I would say that if you can unload about half of what you have there to someone else, do so, and I'll investigate soon whether our kids can come up - or meet you somewhere. (Would there be somewhere convenient?)

How can I contact you? I am kind of leary about posting my email add here. I just tried to send you a message through ebay with my email address. Let me know if I found you and sent the message to the right person

Paloma: I've heard from my son, yet to hear from daughter, near you. He doubts they'd have room to store the peanuts but wanted to know how large the boxes are--any idea? If you don't hear from me by tomorrow, just dispose of them however you need to. I'm so sad about this, though, as I could really use some more. Maybe I'll hear from my daughter today. In the meantime, if you could say about how large the boxes are, that would help. ~Adele

THE BEST SOURCE FOR FREE .... FREE EASY TO GET BUBBLE WRAP IS AT YOUR LOCAL HOSPITAL.... TRUST ME THEY HAVE DUMPSTERS FULL YOU DON'T HAVE TO DIVE FOR IT THEY USE FRONT LOAD DUMPSTERS... DON'T WORRY ABOUT NEEDLES AND SUCH THEY HAVE OTHER WAYS OF DISPOSING OF THAT BUT CALL YOUR LOCAL HOSPITAL AND ASK FOR THE DOCK MANGR.
My sister is a Dr and gave me that tip... and by gosh it was "medical advice" that is correct and FREE!

Adele, The boxes vary in size but are approx 12 - 18 inches wide by about 2 - 3 feet and approx 12 - 18 inches tall. How about this, I'll dump these boxes now. Contact me before you are planning to be in this area and I will save some boxes for you. That way you or your kids won't have to store them. I get them all the time. Sound good to you?

Paloma, it's a deal. I envy you, getting boxes of peanuts as you do. I haven't heard back from our daughter yet, so go ahead and dump what you have. Thanks, and I'll keep your e-mail for whenever it's feasible to get some from you.
