i have no idea what this is the one item looks like some kind of strainer as it has serval holes and the othe looks like a small bowl any help any one? thank you for any info on this .

Chintz-like* tea strainer. Often came with a paper "Made in Japan" label, which may be missing.

*True Chintz is from England.

The pattern name is Hazel. It was made by Royal Winton 1930s England. It is a tea strainer. List it under chintz

I have never seen one of these that wasn't Japanese.

According to Ralphie-san, the Japanese one is a: "Duk-Wei"

bj, the only mark is on the bowl which is t-105 are you sure about winton?

I collect Hazel. The Japanese did do knock off chintz patterns but they really didn't do them as well as Winton or any of the English companies for that matter. Do you have a photo of the bottoms of both pieces. I have just looked through both of my Chintz books and they do mention some odd marks on smaller pieces. I do think its Hazel but who knows those tricky Japanese and now Chinese!
