The ebay express commercials are about the dumbest I've seen on TV! The old ebay commercials were kind of amusing.. in fact, they still are using the IT symbol (couldn't come up with better I'd imagine).
It's all about buy it new, buy it now. hmm. It's the Wally world of online.. at least it seems that is what they are shooting for.
I'll just shop the auctions, thank you very much, and go to wholesale or regular merchant websites for anything I want new. They at least have customer service!

I've never quite understood why ebay prefers to come off as a dufus site where fools and idiots go to play.
Obviously some of the commercials are memorable, but are they memorable for the right reasons?
If I were advertising my own site or business I don't think I'd use some lying dork who's nose grows throughout the commercial. Is this really the best they can do?
Of course, my net worth is considerably less than Meg's $1.5 billion. Maybe this is what billionaires consider "chic".

I could write a better ebay commercial even if I was being tortured by water boarding by Meg herself.
The sad thing is this...
Picture a board room, several writers propose their commercial ideas... they choose this as the best of the bunch??? you know there were at least 3 other ideas presented for their commercials. How could this be the best? LOL.

The most memorabel commercial for ebay was the clock one where everyone holds up a clock for the guy to choose from. Maybe I remember it cause I had a clock going in auction at that time. LOL Maybe they chould get that creative again with Express.

It really makes it sound like everything is brand new, which isn't really the case. Can't you sell antique etc there as well. One more reason for me not to use Express!!
