I've read about it happening in these pages but never figured I would a target. Parties unknown stole my eBay ID and listed a bunch of stuff I never sold. It also appears they may have compromised the email addy I use for my infrequent auctions. What a mess!
It looks like eBay noticed this at least a full day before I did and pulled the bad persons auctions.
Sure has turned me into a believer of firewalls and frequent password changes. If you haven't changed yours in a while do it today! You just never know. It took a couple calls to Live Help, what a great bunch they are.
