I just looked at the new eBay item page. It looks like No. 7 on the page is a list and pictures of other items that the viewer has checked out. It appears that we will be paying for our listing and advertising other seller's items on our page. I sure hope that I am wrong.

From what I've read on other boards, those are your listings. Of course, they could be wrong. It may also be part of the cross-advertising thing. You can opt out of that.

I hate the new page. It makes everyone look the same and will do nothing but confuse the buyers into thinking they're buying from eBay and not an individual seller. That thin line that eBay is walking between employer and venue may just break sooner rather than later.

Cheryl - I'm pretty sure that ebay has crossed that line a few months back.

I think jtomp is right.

the first grouping are things that the buyer has looked at. I get that now when I log in. The last few things I looked at. It's kind of a bread crumbs thing.

Below that is "more from this seller".

i just was to sell. If they would please get their act together and let us sell.

Was 2001 a good year on ebay or is it just sarcasm?

ladyjewels - I'm sure you're right. Like any good employer, you'll be punished for taking time off. From what I hear people who are taking time off from selling are being penalized by have their visibility (search standard) lowered. There have already been complaints about that.

Beth, I just forwarded you an email which contained useful information regarding the ebay changes. I forgot to include a message with it.

I would have done the same for others, but email addresses are few and far between on this board. So ...

2001. Peak of the dot-com boom. Age of prosperity. Anything seemed possible. Traditional rules went by the wayside.

People were still optimistic about eBay then.

Bill K., If you would like "to do the same for others", you could easily copy that helpful portion of the email and paste it here.
