Mine seem to be way way down. 11 hits on a item that should be 50 or 60.
I was just raised in the search but it seems as if I'm getting less hits now than I was???
Is anyone else doing better?

How do you find your hits?

I was told I was raised in the search ratings too but my hits are the pits!

Look at the calendar.

Calculate the two week period that ends with the Fourth of July holiday.

People typically try to maximize their vacation days -- if they have only two or three weeks a year -- by wrapping them around holidays.

I figure things will continue to be slow through July 13.

This is a great time to get other stuff done.

Amber, if you list through Vendio, your control panel shows the number of hits. Otherwise, through eBay you have to opt for a counter that shows at the bottom of your auction description. I just look at the hits on Vendio.

Ladyjewels: My hits and sales have been way down for about 3 weeks. I should know better than to list near the 4th of July.

Thanks Roadsmith. I list my store through eBay, I thought there my be some easier way than clicking on each auction.

Yesterday, Monday evening, was absolutely DEAD on ebay. Mondays used to be the best day. Tuesdays through Fridays have alway been less active than Mondays. Not sure how the weekends have been lately... Auctions seemed to be doing good a month or two ago. Seems very little activity now, as far as auction views/watchers/bids.

(on a side note, I haven't seen any ebay commercials on TV in a long while)

Amber you can see your listing traffic through your store's Traffic Report.

My traffic is WAY down compared to this time last year:

As you can see there is a huge disparity between this year and last year views - 4th of July is always 4th of July (unlike Easter, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day etc)., so I don't think "Seasonal Slowdown" explains it.

Picture the bottom of the Grand Canyon, then dig down another 1000 feet - that will give you a good idea of the drop my hits have taken - and my standing is also "raised" on eBay.

My hits are actually running on the higher end (for my items).
But it doesn't seem to be translating into a lot of items selling.

Thanks, jtomp. My hits are WAY down, and so are my sales - in large part because of the time I spend in getting old listings to conform to eBay rules rather than creating new listings. One reason "hits" are down in my category is because of the automatic inclusion of gallery. Few postcard sellers could afford this feature before, making people click on the listing only to realize it was a card already in their collection. I do have a higher conversion rate of "hits" to sales since eBay included gallery.

My page views and store front are both down about 25% from last year. Seems I have been on a steady downward trend since the changes made on 2/20.

There's something funky going on search-wise when you are 'raised' - my sales and hits dropped big-time - on the other hand, I had my search standing lowered - and no-one at Ebay can explain to me the reason - meaning I'm lower than whale poop - and my sales jumped.
