if you search by ITEM NUMBER it will give the smaller url than the one by ITEM DESCRIPTION

I don't think you can do charity auctions without Giving Works and if you do Giving Works, they charge your CC BEFORE you get paid. I would think the seller made a pricing error in the listing - but who knows!? Doesn't seem like English is his first language.

"I would have to buy the FIRST one...much better DSR numbers"

The first one does not have any DSR #s, only 6 FB total.

The first one is going to give 25% to education. Judging from the description, hopefully it's his own.

I just emailed the seller to find out what is so special about this set.

I also noted they are here in Portland, Oregon. I may ask them if I can see the item before bidding on it since I'm local. LOL.

If I was to take a guess, I have a feeling they intended the opening bid to be $8.00 and $20 BIN... or they mean 800,000 Centavos in Mexican Pesos based on the spanish in the listing... which is like $7.00

So, I just got the following response from the seller.

"IS NO FOR THE LEGO, IS FOR THE DONATION OF THE 25% THE GO TO NONPROFIT OR MORE. THANK YOU FOR YOUIR TIME. IF YOU LIKE LEGO NEXT WEEK I GOING TO POST LEGO IN MY STORE (SIR ESPADA SELL STUFF)"

Now it's time to report this listing to ebay. The seller is soliciting the bid to keep 3/4th and give the other 1/4 to charity. Another scumbag.

The weird thing is it only costs $4.25 to list an item for that amount. That amazes me.

$4.00 (listing) + .25 for the BIN.

$4.25 sure would be a major detterant for me to list items that expensive. lol.

if ebay doesn't pull this... i'll have to reconsider my whole business model. i know i could do a much better job marketing an $800,000 opening bid and convincing people that "25%" of the proceeds goes to charity. Can you imagine what you'd do with the other $600,000 (minus ebay/pp fees)? I wonder if he would include the lego set if I won the auction.

Well, it's just under two hours before this auction ends!

I wonder if it will be sniped!! LOL

I cannot believe anyone would think that a buyer would pay that much. If I wanted to make a large charitable donations, I certainly wouldn't give an extra 75% to a buyer.
