Customer purchased item June 6 2008. Is in England, pays a high $ for a car part with shipping over /$125. Bank says paypal will clear in 10 days, no problem seen this before. Ten days comes and goes still doesn't clear I file NPB forms. He says will have money end of June. Again get payment pending must wait till July 7 for it to clear. Yep first thing this morning it clears. Now you have my money please send the item now.

Mind you I get credit for NPB and say I do not wish to communicate with him.EBay sends him the message that I said I think this is a suspious transaction,(which I said, we have had 2 bank failures, bad spelling on his part when his native language is supposed to be English.)

My feeling is to just refund his money and call it a day, my other half says send him the item. But I am curious what do you think he is up too from England?

Go with your gut and accept the inevitable negative that is rushing toward you.

Leads - Just curious. . .how do you know English is his native language? Many people in England, as here, are from elsewhere. Since you received your fees back, you are under no obligation. If he didn't not respond to your UID, any negative he may leave will be removed. That much they still do.

Did he explain why his first payment was bad? I've had that happen and the reasons are anything from they got a new bank account and neglected to change it with PP to a check they themselves deposited was bad.

If you are at all uncomfortable (even in the slightest), refund his money and block him.

There has been a big problem with Paypal in the UK. I am not sure what has caused it, but I have had about 8 buyers say that they have problems, and have to wait until they can send payment through Paypal. Maybe it was hacked. Also, e-checks have not cleared the first time. Why don't you call Paypal and ask about it, they may have some info.

You were right some accounts in the UK were hacked and they had to set up new accounts. Thanks to all of you for your support and sharing the knowledge in Internet space.
