I do also, have since 1999 -Auction Watch

That is until a few day ago. For the first time
I had to start listing through eBay .
Everything was fine until mid last week. Then outta of nowhere it went haywire.
I have emailed VD several times, they say their
engineering department, and developers are actively working toward resolving the problem.
Everyday I list one from VD , it is still not fixed on my auctions I just do not understand.
I really like VD but have to revise every auction listed.
Listing through eBay is free and it goes through with correct information every time.
However, I like the format here, with the closing auctions showing eg.

BUT for some reason-
It will not discount S/H or Insurance, I have to manually revise if I list here.

S/H Discount not working in Ebay checkout

I have to go in AFTER I list to revise. This started early this week.
I have to go and click a box that says

Apply my flat shipping rule.

Otherwise when a buyer buys more than one item, they cannot get the combined S/H handling discount.
I have to manually send them a invoice.
I called eBay and they said it was VD. I just cannot figure it out. It worked perfectly until a few days ago.

The (discount available) also will not show on the auction unless I manualy revise .
Heck it is easier to just hit relist on eBay .

This has been a very aggravating week.
I guess just paying VD to host will be my future.

I wonder if I might have the same problem. I revised an item today and noticed that the box "apply my flat shipping rule" was not checked and yet I know that it used to be checked. I clicked on the little question mark box ebay had and it showed that additional items should be charged - 0 - (that's my flat shipping rule). I wonder if eBay has remapped something? I haven't noticed problems combining but perhaps the items being combined are older store inventory items before this started happening?

Duer something IS wrong. It's not just you. I looked at my listings and there has been a change in the way they are displayed now which probably is why buyers are not able to checkout without you adjusting the invoice.

I posted about it on the Vendio board here:

I guess some people list through Vendio.

I use TurboLister 2. Sure, it has the occasional bug but nothing I can't work around.

It looked like she had that dreaded neurological disorder that lets you browse and bid on eBay all day long but won't let you push the "Pay" button.

As I said

I have emailed VD several times, they say their
engineering department, and developers are actively working toward resolving the problem.

BTW .. I called eBay first and they quickly told me it was a VD problem... I think this was Monday -5 days ago.

I too have listed through Vendio for 8 years at least. An occasional glitch, but nothing that can't be fixed ultimately. I like the ease of listing and the large number of photos I can load into an auction without eBay's extra charges after the first pix.

I have also since it was AuctionWatch. I prefer it because I think it's easier to navigate than ebay and I have items such as lots where the 12 picture restriction on ebay is a pain. I also believe that Vendio has FAR fewer glitches than ebay and when they do have an issue it is usually resolved pretty quickly.

I do... 8-9 years ago listing with eBay was a pain. I tired a few others and settled on V. When they started charging I switched to another freebee, Came back to V. I I like being able to set the start time of my auctions. I guess others do that now.

I use Vendio I started with them when it was free then switched and switched back a few years back. I have over 10,000 items and for the most part I am very happy with listing with them. I have it all pretty much automated.

I've been with Vendio since it was Auction Watch as well. I have 2 accounts and launch with both - but only use post sales with one.
I was upset recently when I discovered if I use the DHL shipping option - it doesn't show in the search as a dollar amount but as "See Item description" That means all of these are lowered in search plus if ebay ever makes up there mind about the new shipping rules, they could be subjected to removal.

deur1 - do you have a good system for using the hosting without launching from Vendio? I'm thinking of starting a third selling ID but don't want a 3rd Vendio account.

I use to list with vendio, but since sales on e bay went down I start it using Turbo lister it is much cheaper no extra fees, when you list few hundred items the fees adds up quickly

I've been listing through Vendio for about 9 years (AuctionWatch, first). Always thought it was easier than E-bay, but it may be just what you're used to. No big problems in all that time.

Hello deur1 and neglus,

eBay has finally owned up to this discount shipping rule error to be a problem with their own API and are working to correct it as we speak.

As for an eBay rep indicating it was an issue with your listing service, were all pretty used to eBay pointing the finger at ___ (insert whatever non eBay listing service you use here) before even looking into an issue unfortunately.

They just aren't quite as fast with fixing issues that only effect non-eBay listing services, but we (and everyone else on the effected API) are working to get this addressed and with as much priority as possible.

Regards,
Chris
