Not sure I see anything that special about it... it's just basically an opaque projector (that's apparently limited by the size object that it can project). If anyone wants something that will really project postcards well (as well as any 2D printed object).. I'd recommend investing in a decent opaque projector. They can be found pretty cheap on the used market.

EAM, i was thinking more along the lines of a unique go-with for post card collectors.
i am sure you find much better/new technology but i do not think you will find one of these antique projectors everyday.

Doesn't he have a couple of more weeks before the hammer falls on the PS who have stars that are equal to eBay's own?

Glad you liked it Pixia. Thought someone might appreciate it. now days I just window shop. No more room for "stuff".
I like watching Hooks auctions when I have time. He does estate liquidations and gets some interesting stuff. Everything starts at .99.
As for stars, he is a victim of buyers who do not read. He states up front the condition of the item and has reasonably good photos, only charges shipping on the first item and the rest ship free. Further proof that buyers do not have a clue on how DSRs kill a seller.

Happy dance - I got it for less than $20 with shipping. I'll use it at my postcard club and have bragging rights and sell it at their annual auction in April with a starting bid of $50. The thing that appeals to me most is that the item dates from the golden age of postcards. Folks who had invested considerable time and money in their passion had few ways of sharing it - aside from the albums in the parlor. If they could invest in this projector, they had a way to entertain friends after they have seen the silent movies of the day. Tnanks again, LtRay!

My SINCERE pleasure Jane!
Thanks for sharing how you will use it. As a collector for the last 30 years, it has always been the stories that mean as much to me as actually collecting the items. Stuff without stories is just stuff. I like things that tell a story, brings a bit of history back to life and puts some perspective on how things can change.

LOL Jane - didn't know you were going to bid - guess I bumped the price up for you . I saw it had less than an hour to go so I put a bid in but am happy you won. I'm also glad that I figured out by the FB number that you were the other bidder. I hate this blind bidder thing!
