I've been using Vendio to host my images since the early days of AuctionWatch, and using "My Feebay" to monitor and manage post-sales activities.
With the new, even more Draconian Feebay trying to run my business, I was wondering. If I quit using all Feebay post-sale functions and start using Vendio for post sale management:
1) Could I continue to offer Money Orders and Checks for payment options?
2) Would Feebay be unable to track my post-sale activities if they are on the Vendio grid, and between me and my buyers?
I was thinking that the least contact my buyers and I have with Feebay, the less interference we'll experience.

Until they stop allowing us to use our own checkout or vendio redirect, you can offer anything you want, I THINK.
Perhaps we should post this on the vendio board and see if they have an official opinion.

I don't see why not but if you get reported then that's another matter.
I guess it would depend also on how it's stated.
How you convey that message to your buyers will likely be the big issue once eBay pushes this new payment option rule out (which I dont believe is happening until after the first of the year.)
You won't be able to say anything about accepting those methods of payments so the best you could hope for is that someone buys the item under the assumption that you only accept the official payment methods. Then upon checkout they notice that you have a few more options in your off-eBay checkout system and takes you up on them.

I thought eBay was going to disallow third party checkouts - or did they change their mind on that too? I guess you could always send email directly/manually like in the "old" days when you had to do all the contacting yourself and there was little if any automation. But I remember that being very time consuming.
The checkout redirect system will still be available for a small number of third party providers. Most (if not all) of the free type services will no longer be able to provide any checkout tools unfortunately.
