Bidder pays for item using Unconfirmed Address. I refund the payment, send them an email explaining the reason for the refund and that my policies are noted in the auction listing.

Bidder emails me to say he will send payment by mail. Nothing comes... So I open a dispute with "Bidder wants to use unconfirmed address". After a week of no payment, no response through ebay, I emailed him directly and he tells me that he can't pay for the item now... "something's come up".

I go to close the dispute and I have only one option - "We've Completed the transaction and are both satisfied". Which means I get no refund.

I filed the dispute on 9/20 at 9am. Today is 9/27 at 4:30pm... now into the 8th day.

I've never had a problem in the past like this. Any clues??? I've never used the "bidder wants to ship to an unconfirmed address". Does this have anything to do with why I can't close it to get my refund?

it has to do with;

THEY PAID FOR THE ITEM ALREADY...I just had a similiar one. Opened dispute, buyer paid, when I went to close dispute, only option was #1.

You may try sending a new invoice through ebay, that might trigger eBay into thinking it is not paid for, then continue to close dispute.

Ahhh... I forgot about that!

I just emailed ebay about it. I even requested they apply a NPB warning (as if that would ever happen).

Geez, another way for a bidder and ebay to screw a seller out of their money.

There are more holes in eBay's new system than a wheel of swiss cheese.

I think you need to wait for 10 days to pass after the day you file for you to be able to get your FVF back.

I think it's 8 days now between filing and dispute and getting FVF. Good luck...
