She was very disappointed in her purchase but doesn't want to go to the expense or hassle of returning - how can we fix this???
I never said I would not pay postage both ways.
Perhaps she isn't as disappointed as she said??

I don't think she wants a partial refund - she is hinting for a full refund plus shipping and she keeps the item.
I guess I can be "nice" and do that - I can also offer free shipping and sell everything I have at 99 cents but I'm not inclined to do that either.

Why dont you go to her house and serve her breakfast in bed and clean her house and mown her lawn and then issue her a full refund?

Unhappy Buyer wants to keep item

I would tell the buyer that I am an unhappy seller and that I want to keep the money.

She sounds like one of my buyers who was not happy with the item and wanted me to return his bid price and shipping and I should pay for his shipping it back to me. I said I will return your bid price and your shipping price but you need to pay the shipping back to me.

He gave me a neg saying it was not worth him spending money to return the time and have nothing to show for him.

But anywhere you go on the web they do not return any shipping money unless there was a problem with the item.

Shipping is never refundable and shipping back is up to him since there is nothing wrong with the item except he just is not happy with it.

Hi Tony,
I have recently had this problem also. Did your buyer have private feedback?

I wrote eBay help line about this 5 OR 6 days ago - still no answer. In the meantime I got a negative from the jerk. Oh well, can't let the small stuff bother you I guess.

eBay laid off 1200 lower-echelon workers recently, so instead of the usual quick response to your email, now you will have to wait until the night custodian finishes waxing the floors.

I guess it doesn't matter anymore. He gave me a negative and slammed my stars. Amazing how much damage on buyer can do. I just don't care anymore - taking a break and to he** with it all.

Tell me about it. The responses I got before were bad. I had a Canadian customer bid in auctions where I said very clearly US only - The guy bid in 17 auctions, and wanted the US shipping price and I said no. I was trying to be nice by doing a mutual withdrawal, and he refused on 2 of the items. I then contacted ebay, who in their first response told me how I could block unwanted bidders...hello, I told them the guy had already won and was unwelcome. They wrote back again and still did not address this (I wanted my FVF back) and I am STILL waiting for an answer 5 days later. I guess my helpers got fired. Anyway, the good news is that he didn't refute the other 15 items, and I did a NPB and got most of my money back.

Lesson of the day - don't try to be nice to scum buyers. I should have just filed a regular FVF, not a mutual withdrawal. That won't happen again.
