No announcement - just on the Search board:

Hi Everyone -

"On July 30th, we posted here about eBay’s identical item policy for listings. Since the change we have been monitoring the impact on buyers closely. We’re encouraged by the results we’ve seen in Fixed Price but haven’t seen the same improvements in buyer metrics for Auctions. As such, we plan to make some changes to the implementation based on these insights.

Starting this week, the display of identical, fixed price, non featured items will be limited to one, but featured items and auctions will all display reardless of whether they have identical titles or not.
Of course, if you prefer to see all identical fixed price items, a link will still be provided at the bottom of your results to expand your results to view all items, identical or not.

In summary, all the following items will display whether or not they have identical titles:
Auctions
Featured Fixed Price Listings (all Fixed Price items with the Featured Plus and/or Gallery Featured upgrade)

For more details about what it means to have an identical title and when your item is no longer considered identical, please see our previous announcement here:

We appreciate all the great feedback you have given to the Finding Team. Please post your questions here so we can continue to address them. Some of you have noticed the change already, I will answer your questions and any others on the identical items topin, on this thread.
We look forward to hearing from you,

Neelika--from the Finding Team"

Wonder what else they are going to rescind? BM on auction listings would be a good start.

Mary Ann: Did someone poop on the auctions? What does it mean to rescind the BM?

LOL - BEST Match IMHO is WORSE than POOP - only reasonable way to search them is ending soonest, newly listed, etc....anything BUT BM!
