My store sales have tanked and I think that may be an understatement.

Are are your stores doing?

Disaster. The only way people are finding my stuff is through my Core listings I think. I have very few store sales! Probably the fact that they aren't showing up in Google has a lot to do with that.

e-Bay stores are no longer being indexed by Google? Yikes!

Is Goggle Base not functioning again?

Inquiring minds want to know <g>

I've had my ebay store empty for over a month due to an injury to my hand that cut into my packing and typing ability. I was considering making one last run with eBay for the Christmas shoppers once I get back up to speed. If Google is not showing ebay store listings, it would be a serious waste of money for me to re-populate my ebay store. A good portion of my store sales came from Google searches.

It must be a double whammy. Not showing up on Google or eBay. If things don't come back around I may have to close the store. My core listing are doing ok.

I had a feeling my store was going to take a hit when eBay rolled out their .35 FP 30 day Special with 12 1/2% FVF and screwed around with the searches. Sounds like a future store fee hike to me.

Well, a fee hike except for the ones big enough to cut a deal.

Folks aren't sure WHY. SCot Wingo and Randy Smythe blogged about it. Could be that Google is pizzed at eBay. Could be some error in code - happened about the time they rolled out FP30. IS Ebay blocking Google for some reason?

WINGO:

Is Google hitting eBay while they are down?

Ever since 9/16 when fp30 rolled along with a bunch of finding bugs, we have seen sales plummet in many categories with apparel and jewelry being hit the hardest.

While most sellers are focusing in on some of the eBay finding wackiness, one seller noticed google had all but disappeared as a 'source' of traffic in their advanced store reports.....

Has Google Stopped Sending Traffic to eBay?

Scot Wingo wrote a blogpost this afternoon about some strange trends he was seeing around the traffic coming from Google to eBay. "Ever since 9/16 when fp30 rolled along with a bunch of finding bugs, we have seen sales plummet in many categories with apparel and jewelry being hit the hardest.

I published to GoogleBase on the 24th. The message said that 8000+ items published but I have not been able to see my items since. Here's what I get:

If I do a Goog search for "Moody Mommy's Marvelous Postcards", the results are 99.9% foreign ebay sites, not .com. Somthing t'aint right.

might be a good time to take Fluffy's lead and populate http://www.bonanzle.com/ with some inventory and then upload a file to google base.

I have not tried it so I don't know if it would work but it should. i may give it a try next week.

Hi

I was searching Google for a few items and I saw lots of listings from Ebay coming up.

I was also in Ebay searching and when the search page displayed, the auctions were first then a link for stores that also have the same item I was looking for.

example: searched Vtech, 210 items showed for auction and at the bottom of the page was a link for 168 store listings that had the item I was searching for.

I wouldn't stop listing on Ebay but I plan on listing on Craigslist also. I used CL before and it worked out well for me. I was thinking of listing items on Ebay for pickup and also listing the same items on CL for double exposure.

I'm not sure it's a good idea to put your time and effort into other sites where there is not enough traffic unless your looking to park your items.
