At the bottom of my Ebay ads is an advertisement for www.KickItBack.com. Above it is:
Click to see my other items, ranked by popularity!
When either of these are clicked you are taken to the KickItBack website. Vendio did not put this in my Ebay ads. Does anyone know how this gets in the ads? I have Auctiva scroll in my Ebay ads. Thanks for any help.

I think I remember reading that Auctiva or Sellathon is putting it in the ads. I don't know how to get it off. It generates income like Big Crumbs.

I am registered with Auctiva but I don't use them and I have that at the bottom of my auction listing also.

Who has the right to add that into your auctions? Ebay?

It says: On Sep-24-08 at 17:11:40 PDT, seller added the following information:

which is not true I didn't add that

I just wrote to ebay to find out how they can take if off the auctions and I will call on Monday to find out more about this. I don't use counters on my auction and they have a counter displayed also which I don't want.

to start with I think you can revoke their token - they shouldn't be able to access your auctions without a token. IT's in seller preferences.

There is a discussion about this on the Powersellers board. I guess it is inserted by Sellathon (through your Auctiva subscription). You might check the user boards on Auctiva for remedies.

Here is what one person posted on the PS Board:

Here is the reply I finally received from Sellathon:
As for "KickItBack appearing within your listings, http://www.kickitback.com is one of the affiliate sites owned by our parent company the Auctiva corporation, and is basically a site that allows eBay buyers to earn up to 1% cash back on one's eBay purchases by initiating those purchases from the KickItBack site! The Sellathon counters are being re-branded as the "KickItBack" counters and you will begin to see this from now on. "

So if you don't want that link on your auctions then you would need to close your account with Auctiva and with Sellathon?

I have an account with Auctiva but I don't have an account with Sellathon.

I never use an open counter and I don't want one now so do you think if I close my Auctiva account then the link will not be on my auctions?

edited to add: I just closed my auctiva account since I don't use them anyway and I hope I don't see kickitback link anymore.

Thank you neglus for that information. Now I listed auctions and the link does not show up in my listings because I canceled Auctiva.
