I was shocked to tune in and see a restrospective of his life and work. What a class act he was. And married to Joanne W. all those years, something I admire greatly in a celebrity. Love his salad dressing, too!

Speaking of his amazing marriage to Joanne Woodward, he said:
"Why go out for hamburger when you have steak at home?"
He truly was an American original...

The world has gotten a little less pleasant to look at with Paul Newman no longer in it. And, in addition to his gorgeousness, he was a real class act and a gentleman.

COOL HAND LUKE, of course!

I'm so sorry to hear this. I knew he was very sick & wasn't expected to live much longer.
He is such an outstanding person & major star he stands alone.
I often wondered why the academy held off so long giving him an Oscar. He certainly deserved to win many times. The movie he did win it for was probably my least favorite, there were so many better movies where he should have won.

Can anyone tell me if Newman products are good or better/his salad dressing and his spaghetti sauce?

hwahwa, they are all high quality products. We have never tried the sauces, but the grape juice is great and so are the cereals.

The pasta sauces are very good. And the only salad dressings we buy these days are Newman's--my husband likes some of the "lite" ones, and I'm partial to the Family Style Italian Dressing. I'd say try some of these products at least once and see how you feel about them. Knowing they help support a good cause, it's a double pleasure.

He was such a great actor because he didn't look like he was acting at all. He just made it look so easy.
He was my favorite actor of all times.

All his products are good - he has a dog food out now as well. We buy through the military commissary which bases their prices on how much they pay, so we are able to tell which companies give them a good deal.
Newman's gives them a good price, as does Starbucks, Purina and several other companies.
