Between two accounts I had a total of 10 auctions end with bids since Saturday. Yet none have yet paid for them. Usually, I have at least half of the payments in by Monday morning.

Anyone else having similar experiences?

Obviously, people are probably tightening up with whats going on in congress and wall street with the Dow down 777.

No - even more odd is I had 10 auctions end last night and nearly all paid right away via Paypal. Are you sure it's just not a matter of not getting payment received notices from Paypal?

Nope. I've received one more payment since. None of the bidders are newbies...

It may be one of those weeks of pulling teeth to get payments. It happens every now and then.

Alot has to do with the type of item. I sell vintage collectibles with one account and sports apparel, vintage clothing and misc. with the other. Vintage collectibles get paid pretty quickly and rarely go unpaid. Sportwear can be quite a headache at times. Most people pay, but often it takes twisting a few arms in the process (the typical filing a npb dispute).

I just noticed the same thing on my jewelry ID but my main ID is all paid up.

Also - almost everything I've sold on my main ID this week has been International. Don't get me wrong - I'm not knocking it, but I think I've had more internationals this week than I have all year!!

You are brave to sell internationally.

I've heard quite a few sellers say they're stopping, because international buyers ding their shipping time DSR. It gets below 4.3 and you're looking at a nice possibly-long vacation from eBay.

No allowance is made for complaints from Euro-whiners.

I could do several paragraphs here about how eBay is shooting itself in the foot but I think we all realize that's true.

Maybe that's why my international sales have picked up.
I'll see how this group of international sales plays out and decide from there. I'm still at 4.8 or 4.9 on all my DSR so I'm not too concerned right now.

I had 7/16 pay with PayPal last night. I don't know if the others plan to pay with checks or what - they haven't checked out either.

Ebay is indeed shooting itself in the foot. I wouldn't be surprised if they backed away from this payment thing in the same way they have backed away from other requirements. There are so many tails wagging the dog over there in San Jose that the dog's brains must be all jumbled up.

Very true, and when buying I find it so annoying that an auction ending in minutes will be way down on page one or even on page two because of the sellers stars. More than once when I clicked to bid it's too late get a bid in or already ended.

Lost profit, not good for the seller, not good for eBay.

Mail delivery is very slow to Europe and UK and it seems to be spreading.

Well, I think 8 of 10 have paid now. There are always those few stragglers.

Right now the international buyers are bargain hunting as they hear all the horror stories about our economy and stock market this week. I plan to stop shipping internationally, but am trying to wait until the economy stabilizes.

They should NOT be allowed to leave DSR's, I just got lowered in the standings due to shipping cost after a few international bidders slammed me - now I don't charge any handling, and I state this twice in my descriptions - and at times I do supplement shipping (a high profit item that I don't want the shipping cost to scare away customers) - so to it's a real slap in the face.

I stopped selling to International bidders over a month ago.

I use to sell a lot to International buyers now that I stopped my sales are down.

I'm not going back to selling International there can be too many problems that are just out of my control.
