I've searched American Girl web sites and eBay auctions but can't identify this American Girl doll. She has coppery red hair that is styled in bangs. Her eyes are green. I thought she might be Samantha or Felicity or Emily but she really doesn't look like those I've seen on other sites. As usual, appreciate any assistance.

While she looks like she might be of Irish extraction, a google and eBay search of "American Girl Doll Shannon" yielded no results...but it was a good try! Thanks...

I think they have a "Girl of Today" doll that is customizable. Buyers select hair, eye and skin color.

Nope, I don't think she's Nellie. My doll has really long hair that extends down her back to her waist. I don't think she's a newer doll. She has "Pleasanton Co." and the number 55H9 on the back of her head. Thanks for the kind words about the photo...my trusty Mavica deserves most of the credit! Appreciate all the leads so far...

Which Mavica are you using? I have two, the FD 73 & the FD 100
I usually use the FD 73

Sure looks like an Irish colleen - "Shannon" would be perfect, with that red hair and the green-print dress. Let us know what you learn, please.

The American Girl of Today has been around since 1995. The original AGOT #8 had red hair and green eyes.

I think American Girl should hire you as photographer!

edited to add: I thought I saw the green eyes/red haird as customizable option in catalog but it looks like it IS retired!

You've got it, neglus...Thanks so much! Looks like the one I've got is #8...you're terrific! I use my trusty Mavica FD73...I LOVE it and have had it since it first came out. The main selling point for me was that I could use a disk but I do love the pictures I can get from it. Thanks so all for the help...
