Does anyone have any experience with the new allowed payment methods?

From the announcement board.

Moneybookers and Paymate have been added to the permitted payments list in the Accepted Payments Policy and integrated into listings tools and eBay checkout, per the announcement from Dinesh Lathi on January 8.

These are established electronic payment methods that increase the safe choices available to our buyers and sellers, which currently include PayPal, credit and debit card payment to a seller’s merchant account, Propay or Pay on Pick-up.

To learn more about these new payment methods, visit www.moneybookers.com/partners/us/ebay and www.paymate.com/eBay.

Representatives from Moneybookers and Paymate will be available to answer questions about their payment services from 2:00 to 3:00 pm PST, March 3, 2009, on the Checkout discussion board.

Moneybookers is the main payment vehicle for DelCampe. They have not accepted U.S. customers until now. I have no experience with PayMate.

If you sell globally, Moneybookers might attract buyers, because of its usage in Europe.

However, if you use Vendio to list/checkout, you can forget about either one, because they are not supported on Vendio. Who knows?

3% + processing fee for Paymate. I signed up before they started offering the service, but haven't used it yet.

3% seems high, but I'm sure ebay has their hands in that cookie jar as well.

So if you lose a chargeback,Paymate will access your bank account and help itself with the disputed amount plus chargeback fee.
It did not say how much is the chargeback fee (paypal is 10 dollars).
I wonder if this Aussie outfit knows what it is getting into-the rough and tumble world of Ebay buyer/seller squabbles! And being in Australia, they operate on a different time zone, are they going to outsource customer service to some outfit in OK?
