I just wanted to share with everyone my new non-ebay store. As you will most likely note, there are still some rough spots.
There is much to be done. And, I have begun the daunting task of listing the items - most have lower prices, and revised descriptions. Plus the blogs have to be updated.
The keywords are already ranking me in the first page of Google and yahoo. Hopefully, I will be ready for business by September 1st.
I have set my eBay store on Vacation, and enjoying the easy listing.

WOW, Bill!
Yer new STORE looks GREAT!
Very professional! Plus the BLOW-UPs of yer pics are fantastic...Can view lots of clear detail!
Makes me & my roomie want to take up PHILLY-TAY once again...Was real keen on it as a lad until me Mum threw out all my UPSIDE-DOWN BIPLANES and ZEPPELINS!
Would love to collect GERMAN OCCUPATION STAMPS from WWII, and call the collection:
THE BANALITY of E-V-I-L
What PLATFORM are you using? Is this a VENDIO product?
Looking great already! I really like your glossary of terms too! You're using PrestoStore, right? Do they have a batch-upload tool you can use to bring your listings in bulk... or even better transfer them directly from eBay? Regardless... I'm sure you'll be much happier with your own site! I really think it's the only way to do low-priced collectibles now. I can't imagine what it would cost me to list over 32,000 items anywhere other than my own site. So.. now the sky's the limit... you can list as much as you want, with no additional overhead. Plus, I notice you're using Google AdSense (good choice!) The more pages you have listed, the more revenue you'll make from that too. I'm already at the point where my Google ads pay for my entire web-hosting PLUS the advertising I pay Google AdWords! Another few months, I expect it will cover my credit-card processing costs as well. May I make a small suggestion? If you make your header image a little smaller and put a Google AdSense block at the top... you'll get a MUCH more successful click-through rate. I've got one at the bottom too... but it only gets about 2-5% the amount of clicks as my top one does. Just a thought! Best of luck getting your store going over the next few months!

Hello Bill
I am impressed by your new store, it really looks fresh and professional. You will soon find out that your sales grow and more important: your profit will be much higher by not having to pay the rediculous Ebay fees. Independant is the way to go!!
Selling on the internet is going to be fun again!

Thank you for the nice comments, and suggestions.
The store is not a Vendio store. I decided to use PrestoStore for various reasons. This was a big decision for me.
The blogs are from Google, and the forum, is provided by website toolbox. A strange thing about the forum, is that I have been averaging about 4000-5000 page views a month, with only about six posts. since late 2008. I can't imaginge what they are doing there. Perhaps I should be glad that I don't know.
I have had to revise my prices, because I no longer have to deal with FVFs. All pictures are hosted at PrestoStore and there is no limit to images or number of items listed.
Oh, I am keeping the Vendio Sales Manager Inventory Edition, so that I can list select items at ebay.
