I've just put up two listings on ebay, and the photos aren't showing up. Neither is the product scroller for my other products.

At first, when I set up my listings, I still had Auctiva enabled. I thought that this was the problem, so I revoked the third party permissions for Auctiva in my ebay preferences at ebay.

Ebay was gracious enough to credit me back for the insertion fees on those first two listings.

My Auctiva scroller was showing up before my listing published through Vendio.

So now I've put up two different listings and there aren't any photos in them either - sort of.

If you scroll down to the item listing, and then you click on one of the "image not available" blocks, a new window opens up at vendio showing the person browsing the listings all of the pictures.

For example, my two listings with these problems are:

260490014726 and 260490048766

These were relatively small listings, but I've got a bunch to put up and wanted to use vendio to do this. I really like all the tools, etc., and the fact that I can simultaneously submit to my Vendio store (no problems there), and Amazon ( got a listing up there now as well).

Can anyone offer a reason why this has happened? How do I fix this?

I just received the following email from ebay:

"There was an issue generating the Gallery picture for your listing:Vintage "Camillus" BSA Cub Scouts Pocket Knife(#260490014726)

Why it didn't work:
We were unable to download your picture named:
http://imagehost.vendio.com/a/35025292/aview/S2010007.JPG

Here's how to fix it:
Either the Internet was very busy when we tried to download your picture and we could not get through, or the Web server hosting your picture is not functioning correctly. Contact your Web server administrator to make sure the server is okay.
You can provide a new URL, or request that we try to download your picture again, by going to:
http://cgi5.ebay.com/ws1/eBayISAPI.dll?DisplayGalleryImagePageV3&Item=260490014726

To fix the error with your picture, click "Resolve issue."
"

Okay when I went to ebay to correct the problem and clicked to repair the issue I got this response:

"GG009: We were unable to download the source picture you specified.

http://imagehost.vendio.com/a/35025292/aview/S2010007.JPG
Either the Internet was too busy when we tried to download your source picture or there's a problem with the Web server hosting your picture. Contact you Web server administrator to make sure the server is OK.
Please try uploading a new source picture in the Change Gallery picture section. "

I did, however, find out what was wrong with my scroller not showing up. It wasn't enabled in my account, so I've done that. Maybe it will show up later, and if not, with my next listing.

Since this problem had nothing to do with Auctiva being enabled, I think I'll go ahead and re-enable my token there.

I'm having the gallery problem as well. I have not had time to check it out yet but I'll let you know what I come up with if I get it fixed.

Have you tried reactivating the Auctiva photos to see what happens? You still have the Auctiva scroller anyway so why not?

You may want to post this on the Vendio Service board.

Hello,

There was a bunch of reports of eBay having problems with their picture service the past few days (just saw the report on Auctionbytes as well) - the images appear to be fine, they are just running into a problem copying it to place it on their server (they only do this for the gallery photo.)

If the gallery image still does not appear, try again to use their form to correct and give them the same URL.

Regards,
Chris

Hello Northtech,

It also looks like some of your images are marked to only be visible in your Vendio Store. Please make sure that they are marked to be generally available (so that they will show in your eBay listings as well). You may do so by going to "Images" --> "My Images" --> put a check mark in the box to the left of the image(s) --> click the "Mark As" button --> select "Mark as General available" and click "OK".

Regards,
Nathan
