Has anyone ever accepted payment in the currency of the buyer? Do you still do so? Has there, or had there, been an increase of sales by doing so? How did you alert the buyer that they could render payment in their currency?

By currency of the buyer, I mean Euros from Europe, Pounds from the UK, etc.

I am Canadian, and I list on .com. In my listing I mention that if Canadians prefer to pay in Canadian dollar to let me know, quite a few do that.I just send a Paypal invoice directly from Paypal and send the buyer a breakdown of exchange rate and postage cost on an email.

Do you have to change your Paypal profile to accept foreign currency?
You could end up with foreign currency account(s) and then when you want to convert to US dollars, the exchange rate may not be in your favor!

No, you don't have to change your profile. When you send the invoice directly from Paypal, they have the currency options for you to click on.
