Did you guys hear of this gruesome murder 60 miles outside Columbus,OH?
A homeless man sleeping in the woods broke into a house across from the woods, looking for something to steal.
He killed two women,1 kid and one dog, went to Walmart to buy some garbage bags and ties ,dismembered the bodies and placed them in the bags, drove to a place where there is a 60 feet tree with a hollow trunk and dumped the bags inside.
There is a 13 years old girl he did not kill,he kidnapped and raped her and tied her in a home made bed with tree trunks in an abandoned house.
They first questioned him when they found him in a public area but released him.
Then they found him checking out from the Walmart surveilance films in a local Walmart store and arrested him.
Makes you think twice shopping at Walmart or Target or any superstore?

Hmmm... I'm not sure where you are going with this hwa.

Are you concerned about getting caught on camera shopping at a WalMart or that some crazy murderer entered a WalMart and bought garbage bags?

Maybe she means that if we murdered someone and had plans to dismember them and needed garbage bags we shouldn't shop at Walmart because we might get caught? I know I wouldn't after reading this.

well said,Neglus.
If I need hefty bags to hold anything which is not garbage,I would go to a dollar store, preferably not a chain store.
Ditto if I need a saw or axe or chains or even logs to make a bed .

If you are the murderer, you dont want to shop at Walmart or any chain store with surveilance camera/
If you are the potentail murderee, you want to shut the garage door all the way and not leave a gap,and you want a bigger dog!

um, ok... when is the next Friday 13th?

better plan, have someone else go shopping for you ahead of time. spread out the purchases among different stores, different days, even different towns...

or better yet, wait until spring and buy everything at garage sales. You could become famous, The Garage Sale Killer.

Better yet,buy from Ebay seller who shops her merchandise at garage sale !
OT,I know Las Vegas casinos have sophisticated computer software who can warn security staff someone who was a troublemaker in the past has just entered the casion,by the feature of his face and shape of his body, they captured his image and then the software will compare it with anyone coming in,close but not always accurate.
I have a feeling some superstores have that too with shoplifter.

Now if he had bought the garbage bags on eBay, would eBay ban the selling of garbage bags? If you ban firearm parts clips etc because some wacker-doodle shots up a campus then it would stand to reason the same would hold true for garbage bags. Beware all you garbage bag sellers!!

you can add Publix to your list. Watch this video as a woman stalks an elder woman and steals her wallet out of her purse in the bakery section.

I had my credit card stolen at Walmart years ago. The thief charged over $3500 on it before I even knew it was missing. I think the thing that amazed me about it most was that the card was stolen Christmas eve and most of the purchases made were at convenience stores on Christmas Day.

The thief used my card to buy hundreds of $$ of cigarettes to resell on the street and not one clerk asked for ID or questioned why someone would buy so many cigarettes. The thieve then started using the card at area Walmarts to buy TVs the day after Christmas. One clerk did finally ask for an ID and the thief grabbed the card and ran from the store. Police never did locate them but fortuantely my credit card company did not charge me for the charges.

You know who eat the losses? The poor merchants who make a meager living running those convenience stores ,stay open on holidays and long hours!
They dont ask for ID because they know better, they want the business and hope everything is fine.
Many are immigrants who dont speak good English and dont know they are supposed to ask for ID,or just dont want to offend their customer by asking to see their ID.
Do they know what to look for if someone presents an 'ID'?
I was in an ethnic restaurant and I gave my credit card to a woman who never swipe the card as she does not know how!

Update on the murder case-
Police arrested the man in 'his house' and found the 13 years old girl in the basement tied to a home made bed made of tree branches!
They made a deal with him ,sparing him death sentence if he tells them where the bodies are hidden,he led them to the 60 ft hollow tree.
Now the police is not saying how they found him in his 'house',did someone snitch?
We thought he was homeless and slept in a sleeping bag in the woods?
And how did one man manage to control 4 persons,2 adults and 2 kids and the kids are not that small, one 11 and the other 13? and there is also a dog?
They think he may have an accomplice!

I think you are referring to the Matthew Hoffman case out of Mt Vernon, Ohio,Knox county, a horrible
event for that community and families involved.

Yes,at first they said he is homeless sleeping in a sleeping bag in the woods, now he has a house?
And he drove the victim's pickup truck to dispose the bodies and left the truck somewhere, how did he manage to leave the site without a car?Did someone give him a ride or is there another person with him who drove the other car?
