"Highwire Commerce released a new plan that lets anyone on Facebook automatically embed the Highwire storefront into their Business or Fan Page and sell up to 100 products for free. Highwire Commerce is an ecommerce solution from BuyItSellit and had already allowed its merchant customers to create Facebook storefronts as part of their subscription plan."

There are several applications for free stores - trick is to get people to look at your page.
One good thing about facebook is that you can get very specific PPC ads targeting people my ages, interests, location etc.

It is a "Fan" or business page. TO create one, go to mine and click on the "info" tab. Way at the bottom of the left column there is a link that says "create a page". Set it up as a business and followers will "like" you (your business page does not have friends). You can decide what you want to use as a landing page under the new format going into effect next month (I haven't converted). If you set up a store you will probably want that to be your landing place, saving your "Wall" for discussions and news etc. I have a tab at the top that displays my eBay listings using this app: http://apps.facebook.com/ebayitems/. I think only businesses or fan pages can have stores and eBay links. I am really intrigued by the storefronts I have seen and will be interested to see yours!
