I am just wondering if the new eBay checkout will effect how I list my items from vendio?? What must I do to switch over to the eBay Checkout. I want to know now rather than later.
Thanks,
Dave

Hello Dave,

If your referring to eBay's new option to allow a buyer to use a shopping cart to buy from multiple sellers at the same time - no changes should be required at all.

If your talking about eliminating 3rd party checkout in June, note that eBay does now support FedEx shipping and should have support for credit card processors as well by then (if not already live.)

Regards,
Chris

re: "..I am just wondering if the new eBay checkout will effect how I list my items from vendio?.."
--------------

As a long time Vendio user, once I transition to the Ebay Checkout, will I then loose all the Vendio Post Sale functionality that I currently enjoy. I tried the Ebay listing system once and found it much less desireable than Vendio.

Will I be limited to only preparing and releasing listings to Ebay and image hosting with Vendio?

Sounds like a very important question that did not get FULLY addressed in any Vendio Anouncement.

Thanks

I was under the impression, but am also not sure, that we retain the Vendio post sale interface. And if we make the transition now, as eBay suggests in an email to Vendio users, will we still be able to use the Vendio post sale features? And is Vendio set up for the migration at this point, or is it still being tweaked and not quite ready.

I short, if I go ahead and uncheck "checkout redirect" now, will I have to start doing my postsale through eBay? Or will I actually see no difference on my end and continue to operate post sale in Vendio as before?

Sorry to be so wordy...just trying to be clear about the questions.

Thanks,
Susan

Hello,

luchchuk - You will still be able to offer the discounts on multiple purchases. In your eBay account you have the option to setup "eBay Shipping Discount Rules" and then select those when you list from Vendio. You can set which discounts to apply to your items in your Vendio account, by going to the My Account page and clicking the 'eBay' link under 'Site Specifics.'

pawlakdd - you will still be able to list as you always have, this won't change that part of the listing process. The only potential issue with listing is specifically with calculated FedEx shipping as noted in the announcement, as eBay doesn't yet support calculated FedEx shipping carriers (though you wouldn't have been able to list those as your only shipping option previously anyway.)

wgonzales - you will still be able to use the rest of the Vendio post sale management tools as you always have. Outside of Calculated FedEx shipping the only thing to keep in consideration is the credit card processing options as mentioned in the announcement. If you haven't already you would need to setup your PayFlowPro account details in eBay to make sure they provide that payment method to your buyers, if you currently offer it at Vendio. Otherwise it will work the same as it always have and really even your buyers shouldn't notice (since the eBay checkout redirect had re-branded all third party checkout to look like eBay checkout over a year ago now anyway.)

Regards,
Chris
