A while back someone here told me how to override the $3.99 media mail shipping. I have a set of six very old medical books, total weight about 20#. I've tried a couple of ways to do the override but eBay turned me down each time. Thanks in advance. Adele

Aprins, thanks. I've thought that's what I did before, but obviously I'm doing something wrong.

Do I select "media mail" or "1st class/priority"? So. . . I select "media mail," and instead of putting in a fixed amount for media mail shipping, I go down on the page to .. . . what?

Hello Adele,

First, in the 'eBay Shipping and Payment Details' section, change your domestic shipping option from Fixed to Calculated.

Next, in your list of shipping carriers, change the Media Mail Fixed option to Media Mail Calculated (or to whichever calculated carrier you prefer.)

Last, be sure to set your weights in the area labeled 'Calculated Shipping Options' and you should be able to list without error.

Regards,
Chris

Chris: Thanks SO much! That's exactly what I needed to know. It did launch tonight, thank goodness. We can always count on you. . . .
