In the report that ebay give us on our sales - returns are listed as a percentage.
Is that percentage included in the total sales or do I need to deduct it to get my true figure.
Thanks

You should ask Ebay,is 'sales' = gross sales or net sales, net of discounts, rebates, returns etc .

All that percentage does is tell you what percent of your total number of sales were returned it has nothing to do with dollar amounts. For instance if you sold 5000 widgets and 100 were returned That would be 2% returns.

But that's my question - is that 2% already removed from my sale figure or do I need to do that myself?
I guess hwahwa is right - I need to call ebay for the answer.

Just got off the phone with ebay. I guess I'm not the only one - she had just had to look it up for someone else about an hour ago.
The sales figure is the net amount so returns have already been taken out. That's what I would have guessed but I wanted to be sure.
