roofguy,
This sentence The problem is a wide range of support from Muslims for terrorist actions; as many as 50% of the world's Muslims felt some sense of pride in the terrorist actions. could be seen as inflammatory. If you have a source, quote it, if not, please edit your post.
I can give you about 30 minutes and if not, I will have to delete your post.

Roofguy,
While I don't feel your 50% quote is accurate from the reports I've heard, you have offered a very interesting view, that I have not heard before.
I do agree with what you say - the American Muslims, (if they are 'Americanised' in material ways), would seem to be a target of the fundamentalist Muslims.
There have been riots in Muslim temples in Vancouver, British Columbia, in the past few years, over the issue of tables and chairs in the mosques. The 'stricter' Muslim's believe no chairs should be in the temple, the more 'Westernised' group sees no problem with it.
The stricter Muslims see the moderate Muslims as descrating their Mosques, and tampering with the teachings.
