How many are watching Barry in the Gulf? Nothing personal, but I hope Texas gets the visit. Those storms are exciting and all but there is nothing exciting about evacuating or living without electricity and phone service.
The last storm I evacuated for was George, I drove 90 miles inland and stayed at my parents. The apartment I lived in at the time were 300 yards from the beach. The weird part is my parents lost power for about 12 hours, when I got back to the apartment the VCR still had the correct time, the power hadn't cut off for even a second. 1/4 of the apartments were ruined with water damage but mine wasn't one of them.

We got some rain that spun off of it today (central Florida), but it's headed the other way (at least right now).
