I saw in the other thread, that you lost your house in Hurricane Andrew. Where did you live at? We were in Naranja Lakes, a wee bit north of Homestead. Ya know, it will be 8 years ago, on the 24th? Hard to believe.

Really, wow. I lived in Homestead for years. Used to live at the airbase, then on to Naranja Lakes. I used to work at a little place called "Joeys Corner", in the plaza by what was then 'Table Supply'. My inlaws are still in Leisure City. We got to go back & visit in March. Its amazing how much everything has changed.

Weeks after Andrew went thru, you could get lost driving from Homestead to Perinne. Nothing looked the same, a shopping center I was used to seeing (and turning at the corner) in Perinne was GONE. The place looked like a war zone.
