For anyone who doesn't know what that is: "Restless mouth syndrome describes a condition in which uncomfortable sensations are experienced in the face during periods of rest, especially before posting. These sensations include tingling, pulling, drawing, and prickly feelings that are accompanied by an overwhelming urge to move the mouth to provide temporary relief. This resorts in threads titled with Bush Bashings, accusations of stalking, innuendos of slander, etc. Sufferers tend to insert anything and everything at their disposal to relieve the pain and feelings of uncomfort, which could also include their foot."

(apologies to rhondalee for bastardizing her legitimate issue).

"A caplet of tinfoil, positioned as nearly as possible over the frontal lobe, may provide temporary relief...though sometimes results in a longer term (court ordered) rest period."

OMG, Hep Does this begin with a twitching or noticeable tic effecting one or both eyes? Is there a rapid increase in heart palipitations? What about sweaty, itchy palms?

I didn't know I had a diagnosable condition. All this time - I thought it was just me.

Heating pads may help, but its too hard to type one handed and if the sufferer has a clogged nose, suffocation could result.

I dont know mybidd. You would have to ask one of the sufferers that question. Hmm..one should appear shortly.

It seems to me the only solution is to let the person get it all out. I mean, even people with Turrets are accepted.

I dunno, I'm pretty sure my symptoms are a direct result of being exposed to RMS.

If Tourette's Syndrome were to manifest itself through the keyboard...that sufferer might have a tough time on AW... Imagine the headline..."AW Discriminates Against the Verbally Handicapped."

Geeez I don't know why Spaz! you are probably entitled to at least a dozen "no, no's" without penalty!

By the way I'm seriously thinking of starting a scrapbook, based on your hilarity of yesterday. You were in rare form...whatever, you had for breakfast...do it again!!

I was preparing to say the same thing, zilvy. Seems many of us have at least 5 more warnings to go before taking that 30 day vacation, since that same courtesy is being shown to others.

BING! Lightbulb just went on. The courtesy being shown is because perhaps the person(s) suffer from this self same syndrome being discussed. They (AW) dont want those headlines, ya know

On the Senior's on ebay thread....I am still grinning...Thank you Spaz...

Better hush, Hepburn. You caught a final warning the other day. Even jlpiece only got two of those.

You seem to know a lot about this little known ailment, Hepburn.

By any chance have you suffered from Restless Mouth Syndrome?

I don't know if those final warnings are really serious Spaz...hjw had one and it didn't seem to matter.

femme...

I think most of us suffer the occasional bout of RMS...for some it's a chronic condition, though... You are just remarkably (and perhaps uniquely) circumspect, for a poster in the RT.

Sorry I missed your post femme...was steaming some veggies for dinner tonight (they are SO good drizzled with just a bit of olive oil/garlic/salt/pepper...beats toe jam any day).

Nope, I dont know nuttin' about this ailment. Howsomever, I do believe some have caught the disease with just learning by example

Those whose memories go back to January 25 will recall that I was suspended for thirty days without even the benefit of a final warning.

toke,

Even more so when you consider that at least one poster not only received multiple final warnings but was allowed to return after a scant two weeks because a few ... individuals ... here wrote to AW asking that he be reinstated.

LOL

RMS, not to be confused with PMS.

--------

And with that, I am out of here.

I have had it with the persistent pop-ups. Logging in is even getting to be a problem.

So much for opting out on Doubleclick's and Fastclick's sites. Their opt-outs must just be for show.
