My wife was surprised when she saw the Prez speak about Condit and Levy tonight on TV.
She said it was the first time he has ever spoken in normal sentances she could understand and without his face all screwed up like he had sucked a lemon.
Did he not have time to get a speech writer in or what?

Dubya's Favorite Web Site.

Make sure that your sound is turned on before you go.

LOL! KRS!

Certainly, the New Bush is emerging after "vacation" where the RNC has been overhauling the presidency. The pre-text of a month-long vacation fooled only Republican Voters, as nearly everyone figured out that this was the equivalent of a Football Huddle. The imagery that the RNC had cooked up to present has backfired on them. The "President-as-Mr. NiceGuy Compassionate-Conservative," they feel, has left Dubya looking weak and foolish in the eyes of the world. Truth is, Dubya is a poor actor and doesn't have the sense of timing that makes a skilled actor ad-lib his way into history in a positive manner. Oh, well - you have to work with the material that you're presented with.

Arrogant, cocky, overly-sure of himself in order to reassure Americans that they know Who's At The Helm! Gone (hopefully), is the mealy-mouthed, pat-on-the-back, Mr. Compassionate-Conservatism Himself Incarnate that fooled nobody (but some of their voters) and now it's Mr. Presidential-Man, Super-Hero-At-Large!

WATCH him lean over the podium and take control of the cameras!

LISTEN to that powerful voice that commands you to obey his every proposal!

SUBMIT as he Dominates the Press Room and Dictates to everyone The Way It's Gonna Be!

>>WHEW!<< Not bad! I applaud whoever did the coaching to put more … 'backbone'? into this president's image and now the American People can feel at ease, knowing that Someone is now In-Charge!

Hee hee! Lessee what else they've cooked up - especially in the anti-Democrat Department! Certainly, they are going to blame this economic downfall on the Democrats! They'll call it, you know, "Clinton's Economic Failure" and the Democrats will be demonized and the Republican politicians will dance around on their Moral High Horse hoping to get re-elected (Fool them once, shame on the Politician! Fool them twice - shame on the Voters! Fool them all-of-the-time -- ?)

Of real importance is seeing how they intend on getting their agenda through Congress and the American People! You know the one - squeezing domestic programs, shaking down environmental protections, racketeering of Social Security and MediCare in order to transfer every single penny of Tax-Payer Dollars that they can funnel through to their buddies!

Anyone notice how NOBODY in the media is mentioning the rigged Missile Defense Test? Do you think that the American People would riot if everyone knew the truth?

I saw his speech too. The tone in which he spoke, seemed to me, to be almost angry....or fed up. Took me by surprise.

Well, you couldn't blame Bush if he were to be angry. After all, no matter what he does, people keep noticing what he's up to. And worse, they complain about it.

"Do you think that the American People would riot if everyone knew the truth? "

They are sheep. You could P/SS in their beer and they would accept it as Bush Lite. In Europe the last election would have had them in the streets turning the rats out.

True, Bunni ... Bush got away with a lot of nasty stuff as governor. but when you are a President, every word you say is scrutinized, analysed, washed in the washing machine and Spin-Dried. The, there is not a single program or policy that he can get near that the media isn't shining a giant searchlamp on and the pundits are already at the scene of the crime before it even takes place! Yah, it's a whole different ball of wax. And it doesn't help this president that his party acted so badly with the Democrats the last nine years either. I feel kinda sorry for the guy -- and then I remember the things that his party is making him puppet and I straighten out.
