Where would you look for replacement canvas? These old camp chairs are from the 30s and are much sturdier and chunkier than the ones sold today. Of course the canvas is wearing out, and we'd like to replace it. But these seats are 21" wide (as you look at the chair front), wider than what's sold in replacement kits for camp chairs today.
The canvas needs to be really heavy and sturdy. Any suggestions where to look?

This is strictly a guess - an awning manufacturer might carry it. I think one of the larger fabric stores near me (in DC) carries canvas in wider widths.

How about a marine supply co that makes boat covers/sails?...They would have the canvas & the machines to sew it properly....

Also, if there is a boating or marine upholstery store in your area, the wide canvas of different weights should be available there.

Thanks, people! Appreciate the help. I'll get on it tomorrow. We do live on the Great Salt Lake so wouldn't you think there'd be some marine supply places?! Don't know why I didn't think of that myself.
