Wow, here we are hitting a milestone! Welcome to chapter five of the night owl gang. Lemme see, how shall we kick this one off this time?
I think we need two lavishly appointed restrooms for each the guys and the gals. (Two each to avoid lines during heavy traffic )
A nice warm firplace for our Aussie pals who are the midst of winter time.
A cool air-conditioned spot for me when our a/c dies, yet again and for the folks back east who keep having heat waves and aren't used to it.
I think lots of cushy floor pillows would be nice to gather upon and chat and relax after a hard day.
A fully stocked bar (don't forget the milk for Rocker when she comes to visit!) of course. A fully functional kitchen too for hearty breakfasts and late night snacks.
And I saved the best for last, a cleaning crew! Now we can get a bit messy and not have to worry about losing our spiffy new room!
Any other ideas???
*I just realized, weeks later, that I had mispelled a word!

Geez! You just had me scratching my head.
I was trying to post to the old thread, which hadn't been locked when I started my reply, but was by the time I'd typed it.
I even emailed the mod squad to see what was up!
Now I've figured it out, I've forgotten what I was going to say.

Mouse we need a boat ramp out the back for the cruiser to dock.
Hi Bob glad you made it.

Forget the boat ramp. Better build a proper dock!
Ahoy shipmates.

Captain Bob where are we off to on our next fun filled cruise.
Did we lose Gravid overboard in the ship to ship transfer, and I hope that Pharlap & Zilvy can swim because I don't think they are on board yet. If anyone gets sea sick please take your motion sickness pills before we leave the dock. LOL

They are something to do with a ships compass I think. Where do you usually find a ships compass, certainly not down below Bob. LOL

nettak & mouse, a binnacle is a device which houses a ships compass. The compass is mounted in a gimble fitting which will enable it to remain level and even at all times, no matter what crazy angle your vessel is on.

Mouse I am thinking that Captain Bob has something else he is calling Binnacles. Better watch out. haha
Wait until Zilvy gets here, she is the one with seafaring adventures up her sleeve, I am sure we will all be ship shape and ready to sail in no time flat. LOL
Thanks for explaining that Bob.

Depends on what sort of treasure we are likely to find.
Mouse did you fall in the drink or what??
I am just off to check out a couple of things, but I will be back soon.

Must be the sea air!
BTW, we need a ships cat. As soon as she's well, bring her on board.
Does anyone have a parrot?

I don't have a parrot but I do have one slightly used pup, and I know she can swim because she got in my pond and ate (yes ate) my water lillies today. I am not sure who is training who.
I am off to bed, my eyes do not want to stay open any longer tonight. So I am off to my cabin and will see you all on deck tomorrow.
Goodnight.

Hello Gang - thought I'd pop in and participate a bit - for some reason I feel more comfortable joining in on page one of part 5 then I did on page 37 of part 4. Besides, I've been spending the interim time busily shopping for the proper clothing - Bolero vests and gauzy harem pants are hard to find in my neck of the woods. And now it looks as if I'm gonna have to get back out there and find some suitable sea-faring garb.
I'm glad I tuned in.. now I know what Bob has down-under.
You folks sure make me pine for the old days when I'd be online until the wee early morning hours - I have always been a nightowl, but now have a 21 month old that rises before dawn, so I have to force myself to be in bed by midnight. May I continue to live latenight vicariously through all of ya'll?
Gonna go brush up on my nautical vernacular – Shiver me Timbers and all that rot

The Boy stood on the burning deck!
Ahoy Maties!
Bob~ya look like keel haul material to me! Trolling for sharks, anyone?
Well, once I get used to the trim of the sails and the roll of the ship we'll have to have a rum punch...plenty of citrus in it to prevent scurvy, berri berri and rickets, or whatever!!
You folks are silly!!!
