Good advice, Femme.
Also, though I'm sure that it can't be the case, I almost get the impression there is a conscious effort to kill the forum itself, to create dissension and to remove any meaningful diversity in thought and expression.

Indeed you might even have someone come nosing around seeing if they can run down some info on you. I had someone obviously concerned like any good hall monitor that I might be doing something illegal. Dear me...
They sent around an Fed. who was obviously doing a "favor" checking me & mine out not as anything official because he very much did not want to show any ID, and just flashed it and would not keep it out.

Maybe its because some feel they have to tippytoe so they wont be accused of being homophobic, stalkers, insulterers, racists, etc? Or arguments/debates/heated exchanges will be carried forth to other boards where they dont belong; apologies given are pulled back as soon as they are accepted just to make the acceptee look foolish for believing it; strong opinions mean self back patting instead of firm convictions; posters are being accused of being someone other than they are; explanations to why someone has a certain opinion or asks for clarification are met with ridicule? Ya think?
