I'm watching the Mayor's press conference right now and the Police Commissioner said last night a woman arrived at the scene in a police car, hysterically crying, in hospital scrubs saying she had just hung up with her husband who said he was buried under Building 1 with 9 other people. She caused chaos at the scene as rescue workers were frantic to get to that area.
It was a hoax. There was no husband, no call. This woman should be shot.
There has also been some looting at the Tourneau store. People were caught with thousands of dollars worth of watches.
There have been people posing as volunteers dressed in various uniforms stealing stuff.
There are many telemarketing firms calling homes and asking for donations for the "heroes" of this tragedy. Anyone who gets a call like this is asked to call the FBI or the police and tell them who it is that called you if you can get a name or number and they will be arrested.

Only make donations to charities and banks of stores that are known to you, even door to door people are suspect!
You can always tell someone that makes an approach that you do not know that you are giving to the Red Cross, then give to anyone you feel comfortable with.
Thanks Kerryann, just wanted to bold your warning!!
