Many pets in the NYC area need assistance either because they were stranded in buildings their owners had to evacuate or, even sadder, were left alone because their owner is missing or deceased.

I would like to take a moment here to comment Jeffer's Vet Supply, which is on the WWW, and also not too far from where I live. Jeffer's was a main donator to the care of the Rescue Dogs on Ground Zero.

Jeffer's help in sending doggie boots, and vet supplies via an emergency Mercy Air Flight, to help our Rescue Canine Friends whose feet were being burned and cut in their search for lost folks at Ground Zero in New York.

Thanks, Jeffers, and most of all a thank you to our devoted 4 legged friends, who know no fear, and work till they drop dead, (as one did last night) to help their beloved human companions!
