Palestinians Celebrate Attacks In US
PALESTINIANS CELEBRATE AS AMERICA BLEEDS!!!
12:32 EST While Americans watch as the government struggles to cope with the most incredible sneak attack against an American target since the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 1941, there was unbridled joy in the West Bank. Across the Palestinian controlled areas of the West Bank, celebrations and cheers broke out among the Palestinians living there. For most of the past year, the United States and the United Nations have castigated Israel for its response to terror attacks on their soil as we sat safely and securely in our offices or sitting comfortably in our homes. It was only a few days ago that the rest of the world agreed that Israel was a genocidal, racist country picking on the poor, downtrodden and innocent Palestinians!

Americans HAVE BEEN naive.
Some Americans remain naive, but they are a small minority. America has always had such a minority, we can survive them this time too.
Watching hijacked passenger jets fly into buildings, imagining one's self as one of the passengers, that has a way of eliminating naivete right there on the spot. We're not likely to forget anytime soon.
Lastly, one shouldn't confuse pragmatism with morality. It's been done from both sides, some declaring pragmatic reactions to be immoral, and some declaring the pragmatics to be naive and limited by morality.
I'm a hard core pragmatic. Whatever works. Avoid killing for the sake of revenge, or as a way of keeping score, but have no moral concern regarding anyone responsible, or anyone deliberately in the path to killing those responsible.

We don't appear to agree, but we agree on this much: the previous approach to world terrorism has failed, miserably.
The problem is, we have been squeamish about deliberatly killing those who are preparing to kill us.
I expect to hear of explosions in the night, and reports that terrorists have died. I expect to eventually understand, years later, that maybe one of them was a mistake. I'll regret that, but I won't regret it enough to be displeased with the overall results.

Terrorists won't be wearing red bandanas. They'll be hiding. Among civilian centers. They'll be in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Libya, Lebanon, and a whole host of countries. Below the surface. American military intelligence isn't that hot. We've known about Bin Laden for some time, seen his attacks on U.S. military installations, yet he's still running around loose.
Bombing the crap out of Middle and Eastern Europe won't stop terrorism. After a while, Americans will get sick of it. After each strike, terrorists will parade pictures of blown up children, claiming we hit the wrong target. Right now America is resolved, but will we stay this way?
All our huffing and puffing about harboring terrorists means little. Those who carried out this attack trained in the U.S. Funding, what funding? They did it with a few box-cutters and pen knives. Makes me wonder what blowing up Afghanistan will accomplish.
Don't get me wrong. I believe we should do whatever it takes to end terrorism. But shooting up the Middle East won't achieve that goal. Before you ask, I'll tell you. We should make up a list of who's been naughty and nice. And make the naughty ones disappear. The rest will get the picture. They won't be hiding in bunkers while their people get blasted. They'll have red bullseyes painted on their backs.
