...terrorism, bigotry and xenophobia...

An Indian gentleman, a Sikh, from not far away from my house, was killed yersterday, because he wore a turban...

The candle is for America's day of remembrance...Yom HaShoah.
The Kaddish is for all who perrished in New York, including those of Jewish Faith.

Shosh

I am so sorry that you feel that someone considered the French useless. I'm sure that it was a misunderstanding and that it was in fact, probably a referrence to a political decision and not to the people of France.

This is a time to remember and treasure all people of all faiths and country origins.

Very sad news, Shosh.
The backlash on the innocent has been stronger than predicted. Maybe we need a simultaneous internal war on ignorance as well as one on international terrorism.

Yes, Antiquary. Its so sad, and it makes me very angry that some idiots carry the name Americans.

That was very wrong of me. I should be able to be hurt without lashing out! I apologize. That was immature (at 64, do I still have time to mature?)

krs I hope all went well at the Doctor's...

To me friends, thank you. I won't be around much during the High Holidays...and by then, things should be normal again. Yom Kippur, which follows Rosh Hashanah, is the day of atonement...when we must ask forgiveness...and hopelly, receive it, for our mis-deeds. So, to all I have offended, I am sorry.

Femme

Off I go...Security will walk us back and forth to our car during the entire High Holiday period.

Shalom...

Salam...

But I shall never like Mr. Bush....

So sorry Shosh...
I wish I could say it will get better yet I fear it will worsen, first.
We are fortunate to have Yom Kippur so close ~ there is much to atone for.

To life, Shoshanah.
L'Chaim.

To you and yours, a sweet New Year.
L'Shana Tovah!

Sorry there are such idiots in the world Shosh - It is so hard to believe someone can be shot for wearing a lousy turban. Someone so ignorant they can't tell one "furriner" from another - and somewhere 3 or 4 generations ago their relatives were foreign also!

Shosh - it takes a very compassionate person to apologize when they are hurting as much as you are now.

Stay safe and I will be thinking about you.
