Sorry! I should've been more specific. You're right....what could hold a candle to our families?, but I meant OTHER than our family. Could be a thought, a possession, a lesson....

The health of my family.

Oh, I see you acknowledge the obvious answer.
Other than that... I don't know, there isn't much I value. My collection of old radio shows is important to me, it gives me a lot of pleasure.

Okay, after some thought, photographs. I've got a suitcase of negatives (I even copy other family photos) I keep in the closet. In the event of fire after my wife and daughter are safe that is the next item to be evacuated.

Other than family? Does that count pets? I will presume it does. So, in that case...what means the most to me? Friendship.

I can't think of anything besides "my daughters, my husband, and my faith" that is really important.
I have thought of not having my husband before, especially in light of seeing some of the wives on TV who lost husbands in the terrorist attacks, and in that case it would be beyond a doubt be ragged stinky t-shirts.
Material possessions, though enjoyable, don't really mean much to me. Photos maybe.
There was an article somewhere a while back that said in a survey, something like 50% of men put their cars ahead of their wife and children. I just can not believe that could be true.
My eyesight is WAY up there. I treasure it because it is very very poor without correction and I can not imagine life without it.

Memories...loved ones who have passed, children who have grown up, the great times of life--often the most mundane days and events. Can't imagine the hell of Alzheimer's--to lose all of that.

Other than my family (husband, daughter, dog, grandma, parents, sister, nieces), I guess I would be lost without:
television, computer, definitely my books, my car and the thrill I get thrift store shopping, vacations to the beach, feeling safe and being happy
