Perhaps many of you are tapped out from giving, I know I gave every red cent extra I had, but Cantor Fitzgerald is allowing donations on their website, from $1 and up. I managed to scrape up a little to donate, I hope you will also. I am not real thrilled with the Red Cross and the United Way right now, so here is something else to consider. I am unable to make a link, so copy and paste.

The title of this thread is supposed to be Cantor Fitzgerald, sorry for the typo.

Hi snowydayz - Good to see you posting here again.

But...sorry to say I wouldn't donate one penny via anything have that company name on it. Have you seen how the CEO was treating their employee's families? Until Bill O'Reilly brought it to everyone's attention all this CEO was doing was all the TV interviews he could and crying all the while about how bad he felt. O'Reilly started having some of the victims family members on his show to say that he had stopped their spouses paychecks, insurance at the end of Sept...and wasn't paying any bonuses they had earned.....he wasn't doing a thing for any of them. He even hired a PR company to make himself more note worthy.

Now...I've heard after all the bad press he was receiving because of his actions to the survivors, he's changing his tune...and is giving the money to the families that he should have given in the first place.

I certainly can't respect anyone, especially with his wealth, who treated people in the manner he did during these circumstance. And only 'changed his ways' when the press got wind of it.

I was not aware of all that, thank you. I had seen him around a lot and knew he donated one million to the cause. I adore Fox News, but I get picture and no sound on that channel for the past 2 weeks. As for donating, well, I have given everything I possibly could, if the officials in those organizations choose to misuse those funds or not allocate them properly, they are the ones who will have to answer to God.

Agreed - O'Reilly's been on the backs of the United Way also. He's furious that all the millions of dollars have been collected, and here we are a month later, and no monies were being paid out. He had the head of the UW on his show and really was putting pressure on them to start giving the families the money NOW!!! They need it now...they have mortgages and bills to pay and no money coming in.
Some have lots their health benefits too.

While I realize this must be an overwhelming job for these companies, they've got to act more quickly. And I'm glad someone like O'Reilly's putting the focus on these stories. It's needed for their survival....these families have been dealt a very hard blow and need help ASAP.

Anyway....you sure sound like you're doing all you can...and you must know it's appreciated. But for the grace of God go I.

I was already angry at the United Way over the Boy Scouts/Homosexual thing plus what I have read about the cost of their administrative expenses before this all happened. Can you imagine what the United Way is making off the interest on that money? Must be astronimical. Why ebay would crawl into bed with them is beyond me. I tried to distribute my money evenly, Red Cross, United Way and the Firefighters Fund.

I love O'Reilly, is he givin' 'em hell?

is he givin' 'em hell? You bet ya. He's being an equal opportunity hell raiser too. America - A tribute to Heros had raised millions of dollars too and he's demanding to know where it is...who's going to be distributing it and WHEN!! Getting the money out to these folks has been his focus all week. He really feels someone should be watching all the different fund raisers and being sure the monies are given out to those in immediate need. He's been very nervous about the fact that no one seems to be 'over seeing' all these funds.

That's one of the things I've always enjoyed about him....he's for the everyday person....and their needs.

Saying goodnite now. TTYL
