Ok, who will get one next??

This will not stop here.

I'm not scared. I am concerned for my country, but I'm not scared.

The Anthrax scare has spred to France and Britian.

Winston Churchill once said that the best news he received in WW2 was of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Churchill knew that America would be forced to enter in WW2 and the final outcome was assured.

The Anthrax scare has spred to France and Britian.

Somehow I think these anthrax cases come from (a) terrorist wannabe(s), kind of like the Tylenol scare. It seems too Mickey Mouse for the Bin Laden groups IMO.

I think it sounds like something they'd do simply because people would believe it was something they wouldn't do.

I don't think of it as Mickey Mouse so much, but just very inefficient.

But it's not quite as inefficient as it should be - I'm flabbergasted that two lab workers, as well as a police officer, who were involved with the NBC letter were both exposed to anthrax because of the letter. The police officer, okay, it's not his area of training. But lab workers should know better.

tigressoflove: What Uaru meant was that France and Great Britain will be more likely to support our fight against the terrorists if they, too, are being attacked.

I thought Great Britain was UK?? England? I know UK is already fighting with us.

What I was wondering about was I hadn't heard about anthrax in France and GB...

First, we assume it's not copy-catting by some disturbed person(s).

If my objective was to spread fear and a warning throughout the U.S., I might send Anthrax to some and plain powder to others.

If I wanted to send a distraction, I might do the same.

Just something I've been thinking about.

BBL - Off for a mammo.

Tigressoflove: Yes, Britain *is* supporting us--though there is growing unrest over there about that.

And I haven't heard of either France or England getting anthrax-letters, either. You'd think that if it was so BBCNews.com would mention it...

Hardly "growing unrest" in the UK regarding US support. The numbers are solidly supportive of US actions and Great Britain as our coalition partner. What is being seen is coverage of "anti-war" demonstrations, which as in the US, are comprised of a very small minority in comparison to the populations as a whole. Media coverage of a few thousand demonstrators (to be expected) hardly constitutes "growing unrest", anymore than the Taliban proclaiming that 200 "civilians" were killed in the bombing of a "residential" village. Bah.

Perhaps we should put together a world wide rally in support of the war against terrorism ??

Mocking, yeah. You'll find that tone a lot at that newspaper, but not usually towards us.

At best right now, they're probably decidedly ambivalent towards the U.S.

Here's a set of cartoons and drawings from India Times:

" ?--->Daschle<--->abortion clinics<---? "

I know this one. The arrows make it look like "abortion clinics" is longer than "Daschle," but they're really the same length.
