Yes, the media is having a field day. Probably for the first time ever, each day brings new news to report that's actually newsworthy. Wonder what the threat will be tomorrow?

Got any 2% milk? I haven't had cocoa puffs in eons!!

only 2% here ,and I still don't know why I drink it. I tried to go back to whole milk but you cant go home. it tasted awful. and I have to admit it was a toss between coco puffs coco rice crispys and coco pebbles...a tough decision. puffs won. (by the way they still rip up the top of your mouth like captain crunch does)(almost as bad as the dreaded pizza burn) (or the brain freeze Italian water ice can give you).

Puffs or Pebbles? There can be no indecision here -- Pebbles rule.

spaz you speak the truth and I knew it as I poured the milk over the puffs. pebbles have a superior chocolate taste and soak the milk at the perfect rate. the puffs removed 2 layers of skin from my pallet. and the chocolate rice crispies pale next to pebbles. coco pebbles have better box art also.

I have to confess. my decision was based on my daughter opening the puffs to grab the Halloween stickers....the box was open so I ate them. to lazy to open the other box. damn those stickers.

Very deep thinking for this time of the morning but you better hurry and eat 'em or they will all be soggy and you'll be drinking them. Yes, regular milk tastes greasy now after so many years of 2%. I never could do the "blue milk" bit though..just like water.

God the dreaded pizza burn...I'd almost forgotten about that. I never eat at the pizza place anymore, always bring it home because I am a fool and will burn my mouth raw everytime.

OK that does it I'm going downstairs for a bowl of Apple Cinnamon Cheerios! Its all your fault!!

October 17, 2001 11:55 PM - The Federal Aviation Administration says there's a 'temporary flight restriction' around Harrisburg International Airport. The restriction began at 9 PM. The FAA says it's not only Harrisburg's airport that is shut down because of a threat to Three Mile Island..there's a 'temporary flight restriction' that extends to a 20-mile radius 'around' HIA. Again, TMI is taking additional security measures because of a threat. HIA will reopen at 11 AM Thursday morning.

thats all i can find on line. the planes that worry me are the little ones that have no regulated or followed flight pattern. i think they shut down all the small airports also. i am not sure

well the news just came on with an update. military jets are flying over the area checking it out.they arent saying what the threat was. i was wondering why i was hearing planes when the airport is closed. they are loud ones.

zilvy: pizza tip for take out....call it in and request them to NOT put in in the box until you pick it up. it will cool and then it will not steam in the box. then you put it in the oven at home and it taste exactly like the pizza shop. took me years of my youth to figure that one out.

I just hope the government is tuned into this thread...here we are acting normal really, TMI with military planes flying around it, Harrisburg airport shut down and we are sharing pizza ideas, 2% milk, cocoa pebble vs puffs...how much more normal can we be. Hooray for the human spirit.

Nighters, I'm on the east coast and need my sleep for another day fraught with intrigue, threats and worries. Thanks for the tip on the pizza!!

No way! Cocoa Krispies have it all over pebbles or puffs. IF you don't loiter, that is.

I went to the grocery store today. The newest in cereal? Bart Simpson cereal - some peanut butter concoction. I passed on that, but came home with the Homer Simpson Doughnut cereal.

Off to watch the news - I took a break for a couple hours, and these days thing change fast!

Just to give a glimmer of hope...the reactor walls on most power plants are 6 ft. thick, AND steel reinforced...I just saw a report the other night with a F-14 test "slammed" into a portion of a wall at 500(?)mph....the damage to the wall was 2 1/4"....OK so multiply by like a LOT, and even a Triple 7 is only gonna make a 6" deep dent.....sleep soundly, [b]BUT[b/] don't drink the water, eat, or open your mail!!

It's true that those of us that lived through the darkest hours of the cold war like the few days of the cuban missile crisis and expected to be incinerated any day are probably a lot less excited about this latest danger. Even if they sneak in a nuke or other WOMD it won't be like having a nuclear exchange with hundreds of warheads.
