Just a public service announcment. Tonight is the end of Daylight Savings Time, so remember to turn your clocks back one hour before you go to sleep. The good news is that you gain an hour of sleep. The bad news is that it'll start getting dark at 5:00 PM...

I guess this will make for an interesting night for everyone who stays up very late here.
they could be in some deep discussion or disagreement with the others an hour after they already went to bed..

My wife wishes they would just let the clock alone. It really does not matter. There are only so many hours of day light and most of us work through them in any case.

Gravid, I think the object it to give you an extra hour of daylight in the morning to be in the field harvesting your crops. Don't be ungrateful.
Oops, I was wrong, it was about money, powerful men, and fuel.

Dark is good, Rawbunzel. Ever served breakfast by candlelight....gives the spouse a whole new perspective on morning *beauty*.
Fill the kitchen with the scent of cinnamon, whether pot pourri or baking muffins, candlelight with coffee...great day starter on those dark mornings. Course a dab of vanilla behind each ear and he won't be able to wait to get home (all food oriented)

Sorry guys, you've all got it wrong.
The clocks have to go forward an hour.
That is if all lived here in Australia!
Ours went forward last night.
Hooray!!!!!
Back to long, sunny evenings again!

Time for me to crawl into my cave for my winter hibernation. I loathe the dark cold days of winter...On the bright side only a couple of months til we turn the corner & head back towards those long long sun filled summer days!

jt - Those guys are not supposed to know about my secret crop out in the national forest. I usually harvest at night with my foil hat on so they can't track me. I am thinking about selling those hats soon on eBay.
Aha! I read that link -
"directly connected to when we go to bed and when we get up. Bedtime for most of us is late evening through the year."
It's government in our bedroom again!
