I got the word today-I'm in full remission!

In fact, according to the doc, my lymph nodes are even smaller than they were before and it's hard to even see a trace of my tumor on the CT scans!

Praise God!

However there was a sour note in the festivities. The fluid in my lung cavity seems to have increased and it shouldn't have, since the tumor is no longer blocking the duct that drains the cavity. The doc is mystified at what's going on, whether there's something else happening or if it's just me(I'm inclined to go with the "it's just me" school of thought, given my track record of weird health problems). So, Wednesday I go in for a thoracentesis to tap some of the fluid for tests.

It's not all that painful but it is bloody uncomfortable so I'm not looking forward to having another done(BTDT twice). And the doc decided to leave my catheter in for the time being, just in case...

Oh, and the tom's eye surgery went well. He can already see better than he has since he was a wee kitten.

Good for you and the tom. Lung fluid is not to be taken lightly, however. It is good that you are tending to it right away.

Stusi: I heard that. Lung fluid where there should be none was how it was learned I had cancer in the first place.

Wonderful news!

Can you celebrate with a dinner out or a weekend away with the family after the test Wednesday? You deserve it.

Janet -

Well, I knew you could do it, honey. Your heart is as big as your soul, and your soul is as big as the world and what's beyond it.

Sorry I disappeared for awhile, but I was always there, quietly, rooting for you.

Not that you needed it! Everything *you* need is right there inside you.

Anyhow, this news is a thing that screams to me that somewhere, somehow, all is right with the world, at least the piece of it I'm brave enough to look at any more.

And I celebrate it! And I celebrate YOU, lionheart.

Hugs to the Tom and the elder and younger kittens, and a specially fierce one for you, yourself, my heroine. You give me courage to face whatever demons arrive, not just now, for always...

D. (who thinks the big needles are nothing more than icicles in the sun, will melt like icicles in the sun...)

Very happy about Tom's eyes too.

You take care of eachother!
I will pray for both of you.
